Team Biographies

Damon was born in Hollywood, CA but was raised in Alamo. He graduated from Monte Vista High School in Danville in 1993 and University of the Pacific with a B.A. in English in 1997. Damon enjoyed a 6-year career beginning in 1998 in the A.F.L. beginning with the New York Cityhawks, owned and operated by Madison Square Garden which is where they played their home games. From there Damon played for the New England Seawolves in Hartford, Connecticut, the Houston Thunderbears, the Orlando Predators, and his final season was the with the Colorado Crush, owned by John Elway.

​While residing in Huntington Beach and still playing football in 2001, Damon obtained his Real Estate Salesperson license. During his off season, he began working as a broker’s assistant at Marcus & Millichap in Ontario, CA. Here Damon was groomed and tutored in the then booming commercial real estate market of the Inland Empire, northwest of Los Angeles. Damon was tasked with inventory analysis, Rent Roll verifications, investor pro-formas, and market research reports.

Upon retiring from football in 2003, Damon moved back to his hometown of Alamo and partnered with his Father. Damon’s immediate contribution to the company was to develop a private investor network to act as loan beneficiaries.  Damon is very familiar with the Bay Area culture and understands the real estate and capital market trends. Damon is uniquely qualified to intermediate transactions of all sizes and complexities between the borrower and beneficiary, providing equality of service and accountability while representing both parties.

Damon is very happily married to Lisa and is blessed with 3 beautiful children, Grace, Sam, and Colton. Damon relishes time with his family and enjoys coaching youth sports and traveling with his family. He loves golf and is a work in progress!

Michelle serves an integral role as the VP of Persevere Lending managing all aspects of the company's operations.

Ronnie is the processing powerhouse that serves as our lead loan processor. Her speed, initiative, and intellect make it possible for us to turn around a loan in days instead of weeks.

Joseph leads the company's strategic growth initiatives in the areas of loan generation and investment management. He is a seasoned investment management professional with significant experience in business development for financial services and investment management companies. Mr. McDonald was instrumental in creating several open-ended, federally registered investment funds, and has directly contributed to the formation of many other investment product solutions. He was named a Rising Star of Mutual Funds at the 19th Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards in 2012, and currently serves on the board of trustees for the Third Line Real Estate Income Fund (TREIX). Mr. McDonald holds securities licenses, including Series 7, Series 6, and Series 63, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Angela is our “Jill of all trades.” Her diverse set of skills and lean thinking makes her perfect for handling Application and documentation review, compliance research and coordination, marketing materials, and more for Persevere Lending.
